SuperSeller vs Tidio vs Crisp: Compare AI Allowances, Pricing, and Fit

A human conversation, an AI conversation, and an AI credit are different billing units. Here is how to compare three tools without mistaking the entry price for the complete cost.

The first comparison to make is not $29 versus $45. It is what your subscription actually includes, how its AI usage is measured, and whether the tool fits the job you need done.

Disclosure and method: This article is written by the SuperSeller Team. It is a vendor-authored comparison, not an independent ranking. We checked the official pricing pages linked below on September 9, 2026 and tested our own public product-search demo. We did not implement Tidio or Crisp in a live store for this article, so their behavior is not presented as a hands-on finding.

Start with the job: shopping assistance or a team inbox?

For a merchant whose immediate problem is helping shoppers choose between catalog items, begin by testing product retrieval and follow-up questions. If the immediate problem is coordinating several support agents, begin with assignment, seats, shared inboxes, and reporting. One store may need both, but those are different evaluation tasks.

Our suggestion is to write down the three requests that currently take the most effort. “Find headphones under $200” tests something different from assigning a complaint to an agent or importing an existing support history. Use those requests throughout the trial. A long feature list is hard to evaluate without a concrete workflow.

Public price snapshot: read the allowance beside the price

Figures below are USD list prices. The Tidio figure shown here is an annual-billing monthly equivalent, explicitly labeled. It should not be compared as if it were a month-to-month checkout price. Vendor pages can change; taxes, optional usage, and regional terms may alter your final charge.

Why the AI units change the comparison

Tidio separates billable support conversations, Lyro AI conversations, and visitors reached through Flows. Its pricing page offers recurring Lyro usage separately. Do not assume the Starter subscription makes the initial AI allowance recur each month. That distinction matters when budgeting for ongoing automation.

Crisp lists AI credits alongside seat allowances. Its estimates of automated conversation counts are approximate, so credits should not be treated as a guaranteed fixed number of answers. Check the intended workflow and credit consumption during your own trial.

For any platform, ask what starts and ends a billable conversation, what happens at the limit, and whether retries or handoffs affect usage. Then measure a representative week. A nominal cost per conversation calculated from unrelated vendor units can look precise while telling you very little about your eventual bill.

Where SuperSeller is worth testing

Our demonstrated workflow is catalog-based shopping assistance: a budget query returns linked products, a follow-up applies another requirement, and a named comparison brings the supplied specifications into the conversation. The recorded walkthrough shows the exact data and limitations rather than asking you to accept a sales claim.

The monthly Free allowance gives a small WooCommerce store a way to evaluate that workflow before choosing a paid plan. It is limited: 30 conversations is not a promise of unlimited support. Catalog quality still matters, store policies must be supplied, and missing product details can limit the answer.

Choose another tool if it better meets a requirement you can verify and SuperSeller does not. For example, an existing support operation may place more value on its current integrations and agent workflow than on changing its product-search experience. Replacing a working system carries setup and training costs even when a new subscription looks less expensive.

Where to investigate Tidio and Crisp further

Evaluate Tidio when you want to assess live support, Lyro automation, and Flows as separately configurable parts of the service. Test the combination you intend to buy, including its recurring AI quota. The entry-price row alone is not that complete configuration.

Evaluate Crisp when workspace and agent-seat planning are central to the decision. Compare the relevant tier’s inbox and automation features, then measure the AI credit usage for your actual requests. A plan with more seats can have value that a single-store chatbot quota comparison misses.

Those are evaluation directions based on the published packaging, not claims that one competitor answers better or worse. Response quality, implementation effort, and suitability for your catalog remain questions for a controlled trial.

A fair seven-day test

  1. Use the same product catalog and the same current policy documents.
  2. Prepare ten shopping questions, five policy questions, and several questions with deliberately missing information.
  3. Test a stricter follow-up and a switch to a different product category.
  4. Check product links, prices, currency, and whether claims are present in the source data.
  5. Test the actual languages your shoppers use, including prices and untranslated product names.
  6. Have an agent try the handoff and everyday inbox work.
  7. Record usage, setup time, unsupported answers, and successful next steps. Compare the subscription that supports that usage.

A useful decision sheet needs evidence, not a winner in every row. Mark an untested feature “not tested.” Keep a failure that matters to your store visible even if another tool has a lower price. Repeat questionable answers before deciding whether a problem is consistent.

Questions before you try it

Which option is cheapest for an AI chatbot?

Compare the recurring AI allowance and your actual usage, not just the headline subscription. SuperSeller has a 30-conversation monthly Free plan. Tidio separates human conversations, Lyro AI, and Flows. Crisp uses plan-specific AI credits. These units are not equivalent.

Was this comparison written by an independent reviewer?

No. It was written by the SuperSeller Team. We tested our own public demo and checked official competitor pricing pages on September 9, 2026. We did not run a hands-on Tidio or Crisp implementation for this article.

Are the listed prices guaranteed?

No. They are a dated snapshot of public list prices in USD. Check the vendor checkout for current billing periods, taxes, regional pricing, add-ons, and cancellation terms before purchasing.
